Pros

Flexible hours - you choose your schedule. Decent pay for a work from home position. There are lots of different tests you could be a rater for. Training and Certification are paid by the hour.

Cons

Sometimes passing the certification is difficult, but you have 2 attempts to pass. Communication by phone is difficult - cannot reach a person to speak to speak to.

Pros

this is a great company to work for if you want to work for a company that promises full time, then schedules you for 4 hours of work a week and then cancels each shift within 24 hours of your shift starting.

Cons

They have no idea what they are doing. They hire far too many people for the work they have and tie up your time, only to cancel the job just hours before you are supposed to start your shift. They have no respect or regard for their employees.

Pros

Working from home is a plus

Cons

Despite having a grading rubric to score from, this is a highly subjective role and your manager is ALWAYS right even when they are wrong. ETS allows them to be this way because they usually have at least a masters degree so it only stands to reason that they are perfect and know everything. This is also a company that allows sexual discrimination. If you are a female then you are good to go...it is a 'good 'ole girl's club' and they are proud of it. It is not worth wasting your time for 15 or so hours per month. You can sign up for almost full time but you won't get it and you will get very few hours. I intend to just not show up for work from now on. Have had many discrepancies with my leads and they always win out. Have had a PhD who essentially scored everyone as a 1 (lowest possible score). These are high school kids for God's sake, what do you expect? She was/is sexist.
