Pros

You get to say you work at ESPN. You may get to travel to remote events. There are some great people that work there. Benefits are decent: medical, vision, 401K, free entry to most Disney parks.

Cons

There is no down time. If you're assigned to work on a seasonal sport (ex NBA), one might think you would get a break or have some down time after the season. Nope, you're expected to jump right into another sport or large project. Culture requires people to work long hours, constantly answer email, and frowns upon any questioning of management. Lots of old white men have been there for 25+ years. Good ideas only come from management. Quite a bit of nepotism. Over 75% of employees are either from the Northeast or have a relative, friend, etc get them the job. A lack of true recruitment has held back growth within several areas.

Pros

Great people, working with sports and growth opportunities

Cons

Work life balance still not there. Different departments express flexibility but still work in a live sports environment.
