Pros

Decent pay, lots of exposure, good benefits

Cons

As an associate operator, you have zero control over your career path. They will put you in whatever group they need, regardless of what you want. Also, there is absolutely no work-life balance. There's a high probability you will work overnights with Tuesday-Wednesday off. You essentially have to sacrifice your social and family life for years if you want to get anywhere.

Pros

ESPN has a great company culture. They really care about their people and give great benefits to their employees and their families.

Cons

Because tv is 24/7, depending on your job, you will work very late shifts. ESPN also expects you to sometimes work 6th days (you get paid well), but all of this can cut into your personal life.
