Pros

The company is staffed almost exclusively with recent college grads, the majority are between 22 and 29 years old, which makes for a "fun" and young environment. On the rare occasion that sales goals are met, a team of TCs will go out for drinks together and everyone gets along great outside of work. A quick way to make friends in a new city, and a lot of responsibility in a 100% sales job.

Cons

Management is bereft of any real management experience or training, they have simply outlasted their colleagues who have quit for a myriad of reasons. Primarily, the base salary pay is painfully low, below that of servers and cab drivers in the area, and the promise of making significant bonuses is just a ruse to get underpaid, non-overtime eligible employees to work until 9pm at night and come in on Saturdays.

Pros

EF Tours has a young company culture feel and the environment can be fun (happy hours, beer offered as an incentive, etc.). Furthermore, EF has a world wide presence and it is possible to transition to a new opportunity abroad or within the US. New employees are also offered a generous benefits package.

Cons

If you are starting out at EF, more likely than not, you would be starting out as a Tour Consultant. Because this is a sales position, the turn over rate is very high and the hours can be long. The starting salary, additionally, can be non-competitive.
