      Great company to work for

      Pros

      The company has 'Be kinder than necessary' as one of its core values and thats just so rare to find in today's hard charging corporate world! A lot of folks in mgmt now were promoted from within. The VP of Engineering used to be a Manager 4 years ago, he became a Director and then the VP of Engg. The co-founders meeting with every new hire and explain why they founded Duo, what gap they were trying to address, their background etc etc. Its just amazing! The interview process with the company is awesome. There are no stress interviews, the interviewers ask questions and actually listen to your answers. The VP of engg even met with me after the day of interviews, because he did not get a chance to ask all of his questions. Still - no stress interview!

      Cons

      None so far. There's just no catch. This truly is an exceptional company.

      From early days, the leadership team has invested in trying to create a candidate experience for all people who interview with us (even if it takes a little longer sometimes) and making sure we grow our people with us as the organization scales.       Pros

      Great compensation, certain departments seem to be above the political issues (namely the creative teams). Fantastic product.

      Cons

      sadly although the founders are solid, humble, brilliant people they did not realize what they were up against when they hired a management team that saw a financial opportunity and a couple of guys who were too inexperienced with business to understand how to protect their original business model. A lot of employees there are not socially astute enough to see the political manipulation that is happening although many are. If money is the most important thing to you and you don't mind playing mental chess then this will likely be a fantastic fit, it's a great opportunity for people who don't mind manipulating others to their own advantage.

      Pros

      Best job I've ever had. Incredible opportunity to build products that customers love, and work on an important mission to protect organizations from data breach. The company is growing quickly. For those who see this as an opportunity to have a big impact on the company, it's a wonderful place to roll up your sleeves and dive in. Really good work/life balance. Incredibly smart, kind people. I'm eager to come into work every day. I'm excited by the nature of my work, and my collaborators. I'm learning a lot, have autonomy, support from my manager, and room to grow.

      Cons

      If you're someone who thrives in an environment that doesn't change very much, or has a lot of structure and processes already in place, you might not thrive here. Duo is growing and changing quickly. It makes it fun and exciting, but only if you're interested in chipping in on the project of building the company itself.
