      Foundation Solid, Product Great, Political Environment & Huge Egos Ruin a Good Thing

      Solid business model Founders Excellent compensation and benefits

      Cons

      Shockingly political environment with extreme egotism at many of the highest levels, hiding behind a mystique of fun-loving, beer drinking and hoverboard riding. Founders have lost control and lost sight of what made Duo great by placing the wrong leaders at the helm. Duo will very likely do well because they have a solid business model. They will very likely continue to grow, but will do so on the backs of some very good people who deserve better.

      Some really great people, Office location, social events

      Cons

      The middle management was very disappointing, The focus was so much on company culture, yet there was so much in-fighting and back stabbing it became untenable. EMEA was poorly run and a lack of techical sales really caused a problem. Promotion for EMEA employees was virtually non-existant and run totally from the U.S. No work from home policy. Poorly managed product.

While I do feel that we have company culture that lives by our value “be kinder than necessary” and that our product is exceptional, your review outlines a different picture.       The hidden truth

      Work life balance is great. Product is high demand.

      Cons

      The fake culture is oppressive.This company presents itself as an accepting and inviting work place. The reality is, that's true unless you are not a clone of every employee already there. If you're not mentally determined to be a stereotypical millennial, good luck with this job. There are ways to exploit the "culture" to get people fired, and the management team all know this. There is at least one Director that will start a conversation with you, and literally walk away from you in the middle of your response. You'll notice time and again the slogan is "If you're not a nice person, we don't want you working here". Having a Director that disrespects you at a basic human level is in clear contrast to that, and it speaks volumes for the way this company operates behind the scenes.
