      Pros

      Good salary and benefits, excellent facilities, great scientists. It has been at times a really enjoyable place work. There have been some absolutely fantastic chemistry projects to work on.

      Cons

      Very much a risk averse research environment which stifles creativity. So process orientated that it also limits productivity and can be exceedingly complicated to get stuff done. Because of the departmental/business organization is the way it is it can make people very "siloed" and adversarial...... I don't think the problems are what the company wants , but it is a situation that senior leadership has unfortunately created!

      Pros

      The only pros are a decent rate of pay and decent benefits and a somewhat flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Very bureaucratic and political, the St. Charles site is rife with nepotism at all levels, promotions are based solely on your ability to pucker. Most areas are very clique based and cause high stress and tension. Management lacks the proper training and are biased on personal opinion and not merit. Not a pure performance driven culture; rather, results are driven by tenure and personal network. Employee attitudes- many employees wouldn't give you the time of day or take you seriously. Employees are very quick to judge before getting to know others.

      There are some great people working there, but a lot of talented and skillful people have recently left the company or are thinking about leaving as well

      Cons

      Very short term mindset of senior management; Company is on the wrong track; Lower pay and secondary benefits than comparable companies in the area; Distrustful
