Pros
Great culture/work environment, progressive workplace policies and diverse employment, decent leave, decent pay and benefits. Cool technology. Engineers have an insane amount of autonomy.
Cons
For a massive chemical company, the pay is just okay (companies like ineos will pay 10-20% more). Everyone is afraid to take risks or do anything differently than it has been done before. Everyone plays it safe, and new ideas are questioned or shunned. People are siloed big time, and the culture actually reenforces the silo-ing (it's not our job/department) and this often results in finger pointing about who is supposed to do what. There is often too much autonomy for the engineers, resulting in a lack of coherent direction or goals for a team/group.
