      Pros

      Salary is good considering how low the cost of living is. Flexible work arrangements. Work / life balance is pretty good. When there aren't budget cuts, there tends to be money for projects.

      Cons

      The performance management system (forced ranking) is terrible: it punishes people randomly. Management is weak. Career advancement is spotty. Marketing support is spotty. Midland is a very conservative town, with very little to do... especially bad for single people.

      Pros

      Great salary and benefits. Management was knowledgeable, fair and approachable. Co-workers were great. All in all it was wonderful experience.

      Cons

      Location - was in Freeport, Tx and I commuted from Houston where I lived with my husband. After awhile the driving back and forth each day became too much and found a job in the city.
