Pros

You only see your DM once or twice a month. Can be a good work environment if you have a good team. Although you are micro-managed, you work on your own

Cons

Pay sucks. Way underpaid. All in all, your assistant make more per hour than you do. oo many hours needed to get to near model store. Being a Model Store is almost unattainable unless you work seven days a week. To much work and too little payroll to accomplish objectives. YOU ARE A THIEF. Or at least that's what your made to feel.

Pros

The time I have been with Dollar General has been a learning experience. I have seen the company advance very quickly, and much of this was good.

Cons

As fast a Dollar General has grown, technologically, the forgot about the employees. The employees, from a sales associate and higher, are dedicated and work long hard hours, for little monetary compensation.
