      - Company growth and sustainability - Career opportunity with strong emphasis on internal development - Great leaders who are in tune with the business - Culture of serving others

      Cons

      - The business runs at a fast pace and change is part of the culture. If you are not someone who thrives on fast pace, this may not be for you. -The scope of each role is larger than most companies because we run so lean- its an opportunity to get exposed to more faster- but it's challenging.

      Pros

      I have been with Dollar General for almost 3 years now. I applied to 5 different stores before someone finally hired me. I started as a part time sales associate. After 2 weeks I became a Lead Associate, a month after that I was promoted to Assistant Manager, and a month after that I became a SMC. After 6 months at SMC I became a Store Manager. At my 2 year mark I started a Temp DM postion. This company recognizes talent and promotes from within! I would recommend coming aboard the DG family to everyone!!

      Pros

      Alot of auatonomy in the job. You get a company car, gas card, cell, and PC. Senior management s really agressive and organized. Great place to work if you dont have a life.

      Cons

      Constantly squeezing payroll. There is never enough. Often forcing managers to work 50-60 hours a week for not much pay. Operations are 24/7 in some areas. They are only closed on Christmas.
