Pros
I wish I didn’t have to leave the minimum one star. There are not any good things other than maybe the coworkers.
Cons
This company will abuse you if you let them or not. They pay very minimum but will work you every day without days off. Sometimes 8+ hours and require you to clock out for breaks but don’t allow you to leave. They don’t have working A/C in the summer. The line gets long and you get sick from the heat. They have all employees sign a heat acknowledgment to cover their ….. They will have you doing everything from opening, closing, money counting, training over and over bc the turn over is of course very high, checking in vendors, stalking, cleaning, sweeping and mopping the store, the weekly add. putting up a very large cold food truck once a week by yourself. Which is at least a 3 person job. You only have a few hours to do it bc they want you to be out of the store by 10:15 no later. There’s also a once a week truck that brings in tons that you have to get out by the next week and now they have the produce too. This is not everything but you get the idea. You will be doing all these things plus the register which the line is always long and people get hot and grouchy because you’re the only one there to help them. All for $minimum wage. They will tell you that they are going to pay you x amount an hour but do not end up following through. They just hire your replacement and expect you to train them. They take advantage of disabled and young employees the most. I won’t even shop or spend any money there anymore because I can not contribute to it. You can’t afford a box of uncrustables if purchased from them after working an hour there. Also, if you do shop there make sure you check what you are purchasing. They sale products that are not worth the prices and the expiration dates and food and meds are always past date due to the lack of help and turn over.
