Pros

Great benefits and good people. The Company genuinely cares for it's workers and their families. Teleworking, flexible schedules, and generous time off policies make Discover a great place for working mothers.

Cons

The location is the worst as far as traffic goes. Advancement is somewhat limited, as there aren't really many positions open for senior technical staff. For marketing and other departments, there seems to be more upward movement.

Pros

Encourage a work life balance atmosphere. Mostly wonderful people to work with and has a good amount of the younger generation working there. I have found people are generally willing to help you if you're having trouble understanding something. Great communication otherwise amongst peers. Also, They pay 90 percent of your tuition if you go back to school. Only downside is you have to stay with the company for 2 years after you finish, but that's understandable.

Cons

Salary is around average, maybe a little below. Room for growth gets tighter as you move up the food chain. No company is perfect and people will always find something to complain about. This company is as good as any and if anything, its better.

Pros

In general a friendly environment with lots of great people to work with. Benefits package offers an excellent time off (PTO) package.

Cons

Limited career advancement for IT professionals and consistently low raises. The company consistently loses good people because they refuse to pay them well with experience. In general the company prefers to hire for senior positions (IT and management) from the outside rather than promote hard working employees from within.
