Pros

There are a lot of nice, hardworking people to work with and plenty of opportunities to move to different positions. You start with plenty of Paid Time Off (25). Overall the job isn't too stressful.

Cons

For the most part, Discover is usually several years behind in the technologies that are used. The hassle of getting new technologies approved, no matter how small they may seem, is quite involved. Employees are rated on a bell curve amongst their team mates. If you are on a hardworking and successful team then not everyone will be properly recognized.

Pros

- 5 paid-time-off weeks per year - Some managers are results oriented, so you can leave some days early when needed (e.g., doctor appointments) - Acceptable level of visibility to Sr leadership

Cons

- Promotion opportunities are not great - Compensation package is just ok - Strong resistance to change
