Pros

Great competitive pay. Great vacation time. The benefits were also phenomenal. I really liked the team atmosphere that they have.

Cons

Internal politics can turn on you in an instant if you don't play it right. Also, you work a lot of weekends.

Pros

$15/hr, get housing at the residence inn, everyone at Discover is very friendly! helps get a full time offer for next year.

Cons

could be more competitive recruitment wise. Other credit card companies recruit from top schools but Discover doesn't really.

Fun but stagnant career growth.

Pros

Depends on which part of the company you work in. However I really can't think of any pros besides the employees.

Cons

Hiring criteria is irrational for what someone would end up doing. No opportunity for advancement, they would rather hire outside applicants at lower pay OR post a position even though they already know who will get the job. People have been doing the same job for 20+ years so unless they retire you cant move up.
