Better for sales than for functions
Pros
Diageo is a great company to work for, the environment is friendly, with nice products, still competitive benefits (annual leave 28 days and also pensions plan is good). People are encouraged to stand up for themselves, they are open to all views.
Cons
The environment is friendly, sometimes too friendly, hence opportunities to step up the career ladder often only comes if you made the 'right' friends. After the recent changes in the company it is also more apparent that anything apart from the roles that are bringing in the profit, they are cutting down. So lots of job cuts, especially by functions being moved to lower cost areas (outside of UK). Being in a function role is not an advantage if you'd like to get your further education sponsored either, that's just something what they don't invest in.
