Pros

*met great people: committed, smart, fun, professional *my boss is a true mentor. professional, demanding, passionate *love my role as I am exposed to many sides of the business. Long hours, weekend work, but the pro is that I work with people with 20+ years of experience *challenging atmosphere *at the end of the day it's rewarding to know that you are helping people deal with a chronic and scary disease *atmosphere at the office is very good

Cons

*lack of clear direction and decisions *redundancies *sometimes there is a lack of review of what has gone wrong *sometimes lack of accountability *needs to grow up rather than just grow: understand strengths and delegate where in-house capabilities are poor

Review from an R&D Engineer

Pros

I have enjoyed working with a great group of people for several years at Dexcom. There is a real sense of commitment to helping those with diabetes. Our R&D budget as a percentage of our revenue is much higher than other companies I have worked at, and this gives us the backing to aggressively attack project challenges and schedules.

Cons

With aggressive schedules there is a lot of pressure to excel, but that is not always a bad thing. Communication up and down the organization could be improved so that all team members have the same goals and understanding.
