Pros

Is a good product with a good purpose: help people with diabetic problems. There are some professional people who you learn and is worth it to work with.

Cons

The management has been getting worse and and worse specially in R&D. They always hire people from outside to cover high and intermediate management positions, that they don't know about the company and what they are doing. Too much management and not enough people who is doing the real work. Lately they are trying to outsource big part to the work to Indians companies (maybe because the CTO is from India?), they are only interested in reduce company costs and the speed, but not really in the quality of what they are doing.

Pros

=> Excellent product, great research and new upcoming products, great people, decent culture. => Lot of opportunities to learn new tech. => The company is very committed to its mission and patients. => It’s well run financially. => I would love to work all my life for this company and for the CEO/CTO/CFO.

Cons

- Promotions doesn't give you any new RSUs - You don't get refreshers RSUs based on your performance - Raises are peanuts (even if it is a promotion) - They will give stocks to all interesting people/titles but not hard working employees - Promotions and talent development seem to be more about who you know, how well are you liked by senior leadership, and very political than process driven. -HW group VPs/SVPs are extremely hyper and don't know their job/title/responsibilities. {also it is evident now that there are non-pakistani and pakistani biases in HW group - ABSOLUTELY no denying of this }. - If planning to join Dexcom HW group and you are from non-friendly pakistani countries then "Run away" OR "Get ready to leave"...as your technical or peoples skills are useless. They will go as far as populating your reviews with utter very easily provable lies and nobody will take ANY action on it. - These two guys just don't know how to find leaders and push them up within organization. They are just good at scolding and becoming hyper about every small situation without understanding the severity. - In general, Dexcom seems to prefer to hire non-medical related over qualified candidates than somebody who has dedicated large portion of their life to medical tech and been working with company longer. - Only false promises "Bring your Qs to townhalls or all hands meeting and we will address the concerns there". (I don't think their internal surveys are even real) **With all these filters even if you make it in in HW group, you may be moving down in terms of career growth if not stuck where you are.

Pros

nice schedule, you work 10-11 hours a day for 3 days and you get 3 days off, the following week you work for 4 days in a row and get 4 days in a row off. You get to actually enjoy your days off.

Cons

I work in the manufacturing levels ( the bottom of the totem pole) and in my 4 months of working I've seen and heard a whole lot. the majority of workers are filipinos and Mexicans and the nepotism runs rampant. For context Im African American ( I'm a immigrant myself) I've heard the n word tossed around by workers that are not black, on the floors most of the conversations are in Spanish, you have to ask can you repeat that in English for me. and this is from workers, to leads and supervisors. Supervisors will place their people together in groups and have the "others" just scattered around. Just terrible if your not hispanic or filipino, you're most likely not going to advance and you'll be left out of conversations and feel the alienation. The higher ups don't care just as long as the products keep coming, I can go on for days about my experience.
