An Expanding Company and good benefits
Pros
It's an expanding company due to the success of their product. For the most part there is overtime available. They provide good benefits (esp. Health Insurance and Diabetes care) and a steady raise in wages. There is opportunity for movement between departments. The people are nice.
Cons
I had NO experience in manufacturing going in to this and came from a typically chaotic work environment (serving in restaurants). This was my only manufacturing experience. It was much too boring for me. I understood the nature of the work going into it, but underestimated how boring it would be. There are probably other departments that are more mentally challenging and stimulating, but these departments typically require more experience (or education) to get in to. Be sure to be in contact with your supervisor so there is no miscommunications and they are quite strict on days off and tardiness.
