Pros

DB generally hire "nicer than average" employees. Therefore it is relatively easier to work and play with your co-workers. The seniors are very helpful and down to earth. And they tend to give you as much responsibilities as you can handle. A great place to work for someone who is confident and competent.

Cons

Less resources in Hong Kong in general. Less prestige compared to GS or MS. Moving to Kowloon could be a little less than ideal for some people.

Pros

Co-workers are generally friendly & intelligent and there are plenty of after work events. Managers make themselves accessible. New analyst training program in London is top notch and most expenses are paid. Compensation compares well with most other banks (new ops analysts get overtime). Good name recognition in the industry. DB has been less affected by the financial crisis than many competitors.

Cons

Jobs are being outsourced to lower cost locations (India). Some people have tremendous egos. Hours can be long. There is limited mobility between the back and front office. Wall Street office is nice, but the area gets lonely late at night.
