Its heart is in the right place, but needs a cultural shift to compete with JPMorgan

The people are very talented and work hard The company is better at risk management than most DB's image on the street continues to improve

Cons

DB would like to be as diversified and dynamic as JPMorgan, and internally they have merged Corporate Finance with Sales & Trading, as well as bought Postbank to help with retail purchases. However, in several banking areas, they need to seriously invest in headcount and/or acquisitions.

IT Organization is one step below the state of chaos (CMM Level -1) Many IT managers that are unqualified with little to no IT background Lack of enterprise wide cognizance-so siloed that it has become a large issue Weak mid-level management, although executive management is strong Too many fiefdoms hindering the much needed cross collaboration in providing the right IT solutions IT Value add - so much money spent on IT with so little to show for it.
