Pathetic office politics

Pros

Initial pay package offered is good. But hikes are pathetic

Cons

The culture appears to reward flattery and loyalty more than performance. Employees who focus on pleasing managers seem to progress faster than those who quietly deliver strong results. This hurts morale and has driven some genuine high performers to leave in order to safeguard their careers. There also appears to be favoritism in how contributions are recognized, with certain close associates being promoted, protected, and credited more visibly than others. This creates frustration, weakens trust, and discourages merit-based growth. The problem seems systemic, not isolated. Many leaders in Indian management appear to be reinforcing this biased culture rather than addressing it.
