Pros

vacation, other benefits and mostly good people.

Cons

Where to start! There is a reason that DB is always in the news and that’s because risk, audit, legal and compliance departments have sub-par employees. Legal won’t make a decision on anything and always has to go to outside counsel for something that the in-house counsel should know Management in Germany and London don’t care about US regulations. You can literally tell management that you will have a regulatory problem yet they ignore any pleas for help. No ownership at the senior level! No one can make a decision so nothing gets done which results in those that want to see progress give up eventually and leave.

Pros

Flexible work arrangements Solid mobile options (dbiOS) Ability to own huge books of work (because no one else wants them)

Cons

Firm claimed no bonuses would be paid (then paid billions in "retention packages" to certain employees) - we all get to suffer for the sins of a few Garbage performance compared to peers Massively hampered by EU / German-specific regs while American peers eat our lunch
