Getting back to its old self

Pros

- Autonomy and trust, there's no creative director telling you what todo on projects - Genuinely caring people and you will be treated as a human being - Nice offices in most places around the world

Cons

- Salaries can't compete with in-house roles. But I guess they are two different things - It's getting very big so it's hard to keep everyone connected across the globe

Let’s face it, going through an acquisition is never easy, which is why we’ve spent the last 3+ years trying to create strong relationships with our new friends and colleagues at Wipro, while nurturing the culture and people that make Designit what it is. I’m glad to hear that you think we’re finding our old ways again. Your point about internal communication is a good and relevant one. In fact, we’re rolling out some new communication initiatives to make sure we’ll stay connected. If you ever want to contribute with more feedback or ideas you’re welcome to get in touch. Thanks! Pros

- Energetic co-workers (in Tokyo and all over the world) that are always willing to lend knowledge and help whenever needed. - Small team = freedom and responsibility to shape how designers want to work. - The Tokyo office really respects the work-life balance. Working over time is not encouraged. - More and more interesting projects have been coming into the office for the past few years. - Designers are supported to grow in fields they want to grow in.

Cons

- Salaries may not be as competitive. - Global company = sometimes late night calls. Which is fun but a bit unfortunate at the same time.

Konichiwa! Great to hear from an old friend and it makes us all warm and fuzzy when we hear that you love Designit as much as we do. Autonomy and professional development through working on interesting projects is exactly what Designit is about. Working overtime and burning out is not. We hope that you were able to find some balance with those late night calls. We wish you all the best in your new job and keep in touch. Mikael

Pros

Some things in life are best appreciated only after they are gone. Designit is one of those companies you don't necessarily appreciate or even take for granted as you are there, but miss greatly once you leave. Truly people-centric. If you are talented, confident, and have the guts to push through uncertainty, you will seriously enjoy it here.

Cons

Development/progression opportunities don't come up fast enough compared to the market.
