Pros

Pre-Dentons years were great. There are many great lawyers still there, thankfully.

Cons

The business is only concerned about covering the globe. The internal service side of the business is overworked and expected to do double/triple duty to cover local and global. Doing more with less seems to be their guiding principles now. Now they are outsourcing many groups.

Pros

Colleagues from legacy firm were good people.

Cons

Enron, Worldcom, et al. How does a company (law firm) hide its financials? It continuously "grows" by absorbing other companies (law firms). Conflicts galore: we'll represent the plaintiff AND the defendant! .... ?

Pros

This firm hires and retains Intelligent attorneys, provides challenging work, gives associates opportunities for new experiences, including trial work, and pays market rate salaries.

Cons

This form is in the process of growth/acquisition of other international firms, so it is facing challenges in promotion opportunities and pay raises; and is understaffed.
