Pros

Lots of free food lying around.

Cons

Lack of diversity. There is a reason companies focus on diversity so much. This place is a living example of not implementing that. No growth both in terms of technology and personally. You definitely don't choose your career at Deloitte(USDC) like they advertise. You shall work in what you are put into even if your offer letter says otherwise. Differences in outlook and responses between lower middle and upper management. They role play the bad cop good cop routine and does a horrible horrible job at that. So be very careful on how you communicate your grievances. Less benefits and pay than core. Almost like a cheaper version of core. Management is horrible. And owing to the fact there are so many Indians, you will experience the same politics you might have faced working in Indian offices. They don't actually try to retain employees. Their model is to hire freshers at below par market rate (thanks to the challenging job situation currently) and will encourage you to leave so that they won't have to promote you. Then they will get another batch of freshers and the cycle continues. Just like how Indian IT companies work. If you have come to the USA just to earn money in dollars, this is an option, but if you are here to escape the work culture back home and have that American experience and outlook to work, please please please stay away.

Avoid the Project Delivery Model at all costs

Pros

Salary Decent benefits in general No travel

Cons

If you are under the Project Delivery Model, you will be treated like a second-class citizen and a subcontractor of the firm. Here's how you're treated differently: 1. 2 weeks of maternity leave for project delivery model employees vs 16 weeks for core model employees 2. NO access to Deloitte University for project delivery model employees 3. Lower salaries 4. Lesser benefits 5. Your employment is tied to a project. If you get rolled off of it, you have 4 weeks to find another position or you're unemployed 6. They don't care about your growth or training unless it's tied to the project and what you can do for the client. It's all about the money.

Pros

Average pay; 23 days PTO; big projects for personal growth; good opportunities

Cons

No work life balance at all; Office politics; Wont have time to use your PTO cause you are always busy. Busy season is super long (more than 8 months); expensive health care; low match to 401K 24 cents to $1 up to 6%; you are expected to work when you are sick and running a favor; low dinner budget for overtime working
