Pros
1. I would put having Deloitte on your resume as a positive, but working for Deloitte will put an experienced hire back in their career.
Cons
Summary: If you are an experienced hire stay away! 1. No client work that represents actual job posting. -I interviewed for a specialized role in the technology field and am an experienced hire. When I started to look for client work I talked to several partners about working in the role I was hired to do and I was told there was no work in this field. Right now on my client site they have me working on contract and requirements. This is no way to treat experienced hires. I have talked to several other experienced hires and they have all had the same experience. This seems like a trend. 2. Firm Initiatives. -Deloitte expects you to come after your long day of client work and participate in firm activities and do more work outside of the office on top of your 40+ week. Your client site might be an hour a half away from the Rosslyn office too. 3. "Technology Group" - A lot of the people who are in the "technology group" do not know anything about technology. 4. People think they are smarter than everyone. -The things I have heard people say are so obnoxious. "You can tell who the Deloitte people are in the room", "That is the difference between hiring Deloitte and hiring a competitor", " he presents like a Deloitte person". Please, keep the obnoxious comments to yourself.
