      Great place to work, and quick path to management experience

      Pros

      New hires are immediately given responsibility, and can take full control of their own career development. They are able to choose an industry of expertise when starting out, or rotate between different industries to see what fits best. The experience is invaluable, and most view a career at deloitte audit as an intermediate stage in their career. Put in your time now...and more lucrative opportunities present themselves. Most everyone is easy to work with - so if the audit experience can't keep you entertained, the people fill the void.

      Cons

      Long hours are expected of all employees, and no pay is allocated for "overtime" hours worked. Some claim that the command chain puts unrealistic expectations on the lower level employees. but i have not experienced this personally.

      Pros

      Deloitte provides a lot of training and extracurricular opportunitites to build your network and gain access to mentors. Though the hours are long, the firm does exert a lot of effort in addressing work life balance.

      Cons

      The firm is very large and can be slow to change. If you want to switch projects, for example, there can be quite a bit of red tape in your way due to partner politics.
