Pros
Deloitte offers a wealth of professional opportunities, which really is only limited by the individual's interest and effort in pursuing those opportunities to grow. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the largest companies in the world on projects of critical importance to those organizations. The collaborative spirit of the firm provides ample opportunity to work on these projects with company representatives and other Deloitte professionals at all levels. I think that this combination of great client project opportunities and the chance to work in a collegial team environment makes Deloitte a great place to work, both as a career launch pad, but also as a long-term career choice.
Cons
Networking is incredibly important, and it can be difficult at times to connect with the right people within different disciplines without an informal, personal link. One of the great strengths of the firm is the diverse skill sets and perspectives, and although there are more formal reporting lines and "proper" channels for working across disciplines, but informal networking often is the real way that work gets done. This may serve as an advantage once you are able to develop those networks (and a better understanding of what other services and skills are available within Deloitte), but it can be frustrating if you urgently need to identify a particular skill set outside of your network.
