*You will gain a wide variety of experience in a short amount of time. *The exposure to various industries, clients, and can only be compared to competitor firms. *More importantly, it is a great resume builder. *You will never work harder in your life. *You will have an opportunity to be a part of more than just your core work; you will have the opportunity to take on new roles in recruiting, peer representation, community representation, and other such roles. *You will be rewarded for being at the top your class after you leave the Firm. *If you can align yourself with the write partner, your career will be made.
Cons
*You will never work harder in your life. *Your life will be centered around your work. *Few people are paid well *Those that are paid well are highly underpaid (when compared to thier peers in industry). *Audit quality is often overlooked and customers are sometimes being cheated. *Work is not evenly assigned. Those that work hard and are the top of class are definitely overwhelmed. *Management is highly overrated *Few partners are technically astute *Align yourself with the wrong partner, and your career (even if you are at the top of your class) will be destroyed. *Be prepared to feel under-appreciated - even if you are the highest paid, most recognized, and strongest of your group.
