      Great Place to Work if you are starting out

      Pros

      first company I've worked in that actually does what it talks about allowing employees to grow. Lots of training opportunities, including mandatory ones. Also judged on volunteer opportunities.

      Cons

      Not so strong in Technology development in the Federal sector. Strength , I guess, is more on the strategy and operations side.

      Pros

      Extremely large company, many opportunities to explore different career paths without having to take a nw job. Higher education valued and encouraged.

      Cons

      Constant independence checks and limitations on investments, etc., a result of Sarbannes-Oxley, no fault of the companies - still an annoyance, however.

      Good place to work, but hours are tough

      Pros

      Deloitte (or any of the Big 4) are a great place to get started in a career. You will learn a ton in a short period of time, plus get very good pay and raises compared to other jobs.

      Cons

      There is always work to be done, so the hours in Big 4 firms are very tough, especially once you have a family. Between commuting and working, you will spend around 50 hours during non-busy periods, and 65+ during peak times. These aren't things that can really be improved much, it's just the nature of the business.
