Pros

Good company reputation. May be good for some projects if you are lucky you can detail out the pros

Cons

I joined the company and on the same day they gave a good laptop and asked start working. I joined on Wednesday and they assigned work on friday and was asked to go to office that Saturday and sunday. May be it's just that project but that project was like hell and the were only worried about money. I never seen anyone from that project leaving before 1 in the night even girls (they provide cabs though) . One can tolerate that if the work is good and you are learning new technology but those 2 months were he'll. You will be their full time employee from day one so even in you put down paper on first week you have serve notice period. So I literally spent 15 days and nights in office and served notice period. One interesting fact once at 11.30 pm I asked for permission to leave for the day but they were like what will you do going home so early that too that was not sarcasm. Thankfully after putting down my paper I enjoyed my stay there during the notice period.

Pros

Some flexibility can be allowed depending on the area

Cons

Overall toxic environment. Passive agressive management that promotes lower morale. Being used and overworked without even a thank you or any recognition for going the extra mile. Manipulative management who relies on lies and then denies them. Please try to stay away from this damaging and stressful experience.

Pros

Deloitte has a great team environment, especially in the federal practice in Washington DC. I enjoy going to work in order to solve new challenges. The pay is lower but you get a friendly team environment, nice office space in a convenient location by the Rosslyn metro, lots of training opportunities, and the ability to move between projects so you can broaden your experience. In my 6 years at Deloitte, I've worked at Dept of Justice, Dept of State, and Dept of Defense. My average week is about 40 to 45 hours a week with only two or three times per year that I work a 12 hour day.

Cons

There is a significant pay difference between Deloitte Advisory employees and Deloitte Consulting employees at the same level doing the same job, at least on federal projects. The two work side-by-side on projects, almost interchangeably, and often have similar skillsets. As of mid-2018, a senior consultant in Advisory made 80k to 85k per year, while a senior consultant in Consulting made 95k to 100k per year. My recommendation is to apply for a Consulting position rather than an Advisory position, because of the better pay. Aside from the resume and pay, no one in Deloitte or on the client site will know whether you're in Advisory or Consulting.
