Pros

If any, it would be networking and access to training provided through Deloitte University.

Cons

1. All the warnings in the world cannot prepare you for the internal dysfunction within this organization! 2. The ethics hotline is useless when reporting violations because investigations are performed by internal Deloitte personnel who may and have had direct professional relationships with the employee being investigated. 3. Favoritism and politics protect corrupt employees from reprimand or dismissal. 4. Abuse of authority is common within Services management on all levels, and perceived as necessary in order to silence the voice of overworked service employees. 5. Partners are fearful of addressing concerns or making waves internally because it may impact their ascent. As such, many are willing to ignore the suffering of other Deloitte personnel if there is no professional career gain in it for them. 6. Changes made to the firms operating structure providing Deloitte Services oversight of administrative operations has been brutal on the moral across all functions.

Pros

-People who care about you and your development; with both hard and soft skills. -Hands-on experience, online training, and vendor training for some of the hottest technologies are readily available. -Simply the best in terms of talent...you're working with the best and brightest in the workforce. -Great client exposure. -Salary is extremely competitive. -Benefits are extremely competitive. -Great resume-booster. -This place is the embodiment of capitalism. All about competition. The slackers and those who don't add value stick out like a sore thumb. And the firm is the better for it. When everyone you work with is motivated to do a great job on everything they touch, things get done. They get done well and done quickly.

Cons

-90% of your satisfaction with the firm depends on your project (e.g. if project is understaffed or poorly-managed, you can be stuck in a rough spot for several months...granted you can always add value by performing at a high level in your role, success rarely hinges on a single analyst's ability to add value). -Continuing education classes, compliance training, practice development activities, firm activities, Impact Day, recruiting, all-hands events, service line meetings, Deloitte holidays, government holidays, all count against your utilization. Utilization refers to your requirement to spend 95% of the 2080 hours in the year (52 weeks * 40 hours/week) on client work, which doesn't include any of the things listed above. Usually everything totals to anywhere between 50 and 70 hours per week of work, and the non-client work actually ends up forcibly distracting you from your client work, which is supposed to be a priority. -Retirement benefits are practically non-existent...vesting and accrual start around year 3, with puny matching contributions.

Pros

1) People! Phenomenally smart. 2) Travel perks are on par with the industry 3) Have to say this again, people. Some of the ones I met are still good friends and will continue to be long after i left the firm

Cons

1) Partners have very poor visibility to actual on the ground performance and mostly go with what the manager/senior manager has to say about you. 2) Very poor support processes/HR team. After having worked for two of the big four, a manufacturing firm and an Indian IT shop I know things can be better. Especially for a company of such repute 3) Work life balance is non existent. 80 hours and you are a slacker. You fall sick working, then you are doing a good job
