You're just an employee to them and at the end of the day, most partners and managers only care about billable hours. They ignore your concerns. I was verbally harassed by 2 managers on 2 different projects and while some of the other managers cared, the partners ignored the issues.

Dog eat dog environments in some practices As you move up, the nastier the partners get They find every reason not to give you a raise The expectation of work hours are not realistic They have favorites and only provide opportunity to those they like Unreasonable expectations Tight budgets and short -turnaround time for projects Their is no transparency in the rating system and manager are not truthful to your face but will rate you lower than you expected. Good luck finding out who it is if you work for many managers. Some management is too old school and think they know it all but have not realized that things have changed. Diversity is really a facade Deloitte preaches people first but treat their people poorly at times.
