Pros

When a bride (and her family) has a positive shopping experience and leaves with a smile on her face.

Cons

1. On bad days, there are brides who can be serious "bridezillas". Patience is definitely needed on days like this. 2. Some of the management abuse their position. There's no need for managers (ar anyone for that matter) to yell at employees or insult them (by calling them "stupid" or "fat"). 3. They pay isn't all that great...and they continuously cut the hours (for part-time hourly workers) when they don't meet store goals.

LONG hours, cold hearted corporate company

Pros

Depending on which location you work at, the consultants can become great friends. Certain managers are amazing and do care about you, but these are generally the 3rd or 2nd key managers. GM and DMs are so consumed with corporate quotas they can't efficiently boost morale.

Cons

This company could care less about their employees. There is absolutely no room for career advancement either. You are nothing but a number to them and if you don't meet corporate quotas weekly and monthly you will probably not keep your job. Assistant managers do their best to be your friend but its difficult because of the constant stress coming from corporate. Commission is less then stellar and very unfair. You must meet quotas for hours worked plus amount sold in order to make a measly percentage commission and this commission is half of full timers if you are a part timer (even though you are probably working the same hours as them). Bridal Christmas is the worst (January-March). you will work insane hours and probably not get any breaks, even though that is illegal. Plus you may have to deal with unfair colleagues who steal your customer sales (therefor stealing your commission).

Pros

Getting to meet brides, upbeat and peppy environment, times goes by fast

Cons

extremely competitive environment, commission based, employees lie to customers in order to make sales, the customers are not valued because everyone is trying to hit their commission - they don't care about the customers' needs.
