Pros

Making a brides wedding the most special day in her life.

Cons

High pressure sales, 4 head pieces a must, even if the bride didn't want any headpieces. Taught to not take no for an answer. DM played favorites, if she loved you, you could do no wrong, if not you were gone. Customer service issues not dealt with well.

Pros

- Working with happy, satisfied brides, their happy families, and also girls getting ready for prom and other school dances. Such an exciting time for all! - Forming long lasting friendships with other employees.

Cons

- Commission is stolen on a regular basis, and the endless time to reverse it is ridiculous. - Managers form favorites (god forbid you aren't the favorite, because you'll work 10x harder without recognition), abuse their positions, and aren't readily reliable for store issues, customer issues, among other things - Standing on your feet for your entire shift, not getting breaks (bridal Christmas is horrendous, but on the opposite side, slow season means cutting hours to the bare minimum) - Constantly pestering customers on CRM, you'll sometimes call the same person three times a week. - You'll stay late to clean the store, which also can mean you'll be there an hour or two or even three after closing - There is absolutely NO room for advancement, and you're very lucky if you get a raise at all

Pros

I am having a tought time really coming up with anything positive to say about my time at David's Bridal. If you are a sales person, there is good money to be made if you watch all of your events very closely to make sure you are getting credit for your sales.

Cons

As a member of management, I was constantly working open to close or 7-12 days straight with no overtime. The tasks required were nearly impossible to complete as we are required to stay on the floor and watch every move made by the sales staff. Upper managment does not value the employees or the store managment teams.
