Pros

Good package at the start.

Cons

1. They don’t provide employer funded parental leave. Which all other consultancy companies I’ve previously worked for and currently working with provide. 2. The Melbourne HR doesn’t not follow fair work rules and tries to get you to apply for leaves on bench. Otherwise also very manipulative and tries to show that you are being petty if you do not agree with them. 3. They don’t care about you once you are at the client site. You feel like an independent contractor at the client site. 4. Constant fear on unemployment when on bench. 5. There are no bonuses or yearly salary increments. 6. The annual review is just a formality, you never hear back from them (how would they know anything when they forget you once you are at the client’s office ) 7. The ceo packed his bags quickly when hack bought the company and the communication to employees was very poor. The weekly meetings were redundant and lacked and real information. 8. No real opportunity to grow within the company (very craft paperwork and drawings but nothing is actually applied or applicable to you when you join) 9. The policy pack is a joke and is just a random PDF on the internal website. No details provided unless you ask HR.

Thank you for your review. DWS absolutely does cares about each and every employee - the high number of very long term staff, plus the significant number of staff who return to us after exploring other career avenues, is testament to this.

Thank you for taking the time to review DWS. Our business has changed significantly since your review, and we are now under new ownership as a part of HCL Technologies - who are a top rated employer across Australia and NZ.

Pros

You meet very many good developers there

Cons

This is a company with revolving door - one person is hired, another is leaving. They pretend to support your career growth, but do not provide any resources for your learning, even when on bench. Your skills is your concern. Senior management is hypocritical and is out of touch with the consultants and their needs. They just do not listen to your concerns and brush them away. Project methodologies are often not followed properly, day-to-day management is chaotic, consultants are to be blamed for many things. If on bench, you would grab any opportunity to get out, even below your skill level.

Again just fake news. DWS has over 200 pre approved courses that you can do any time and receive a completion bonus of over $1400. Our bench policy is very considerate of consultants and rarely do we have more than 8 on the bench. There is no sole owner of the company it is an asx listed public company. Consultants are expected to follow spinnaker one methodology. Are you sure you ever worked for DWS because if you did you certainly didn’t understand anything.
