Pros

When you are into aerospace engineering, the DLR is one of the best places in the world to go to. Highly challenging tasks with committed and bright co-workers. For IT professionals there is a wealth of interesting problems (robotics, computational fluid dynamics, visualization, supercomputing, to name a few).

Cons

Nothing really, besides the salary. The German Aerospace Center is a governmental non-profit organization, as such, the salary is below industry average. But that's more than compensated for by the job itself.
