Interesting internship

Pros

Big organization with a lot of interesting research. The project worked in was very interesting, and there was a lot of freedom to pursue different angles. Also, there were ample people around to help out whom where also motivated to help.

Cons

Remuneration for internship is very minimal. perhaps not so applicable to internships, but most of the work done is pure research, which might not appeal to people who would prefer their work to be realized to some extent.

Flexible time and highly prepared research staff. The environment is really good, the terms of employment are favorable in general.

Cons

Low salary related to the public salary scale in Germany, difficulty in long term contracts (short terms are the most)
