Pros

Great Assortment and could be a great place to work but.....they refuse to change and adapt to a more family friendly work place

Cons

Too much to do with not enough resources. Poor planning, unrealistic expectations and no growth or training. You are left to swim in the deep end and hope you make it!

Pros

Access to great discounts. Ok job for people looking to work a couple of days a week for extra money.

Cons

Payroll is a joke. Corporate says customer service is most important but don't show it. Some departments end up going days without employees working them. The store ends up a mess until some higher ups visit and then you get payroll to fix it in a day or two so the higher ups feel like everything is going great. Communication is not great. Priorities always changing so nothing is ever completed 100%. Full timer stress load way too high for the pay and type of work.

Pros

The 25% discount isn't bad but not the best. If you're passionate about a certain activity or sport, it can be fun selling those products, at least until you move up from being just a basic part time associate, then the cons come in.

Cons

The hardest workers will suffer the most here. There isn't much reward or benefit to an individual's hard work... If the team is not succeeding, you'll all be looked at as failures by your store manager and district/regional managers. The annual limit of 4% pay increase (which I haven't seen anyone get in the 2 years I've been here) is rather insulting to those of us that break our backs every shift. Especially when the company is set up to reward the store and district managers with big bonuses for reaching sales goals and getting credit card applications when its the floor associates doing 100% of the work. I prefer more than a "wow sticker" on the employee board or a "wow pin" on my name tag when I am being held responsible for a 3 million dollar department and work overtime every week to do so. The only positive reviews you'll read about this company will likely be written by those on salary (assistant managers and above) which you will notice soon after working there they all seem like they've been brainwashed to love the company more than themselves.
