Great place to learn to be a lawyer (I was a summer associate and then a transactional associate for a few years)

Pros

The people are wonderful: charming, funny, interesting, and personable. The work is as interesting as it gets for corporate law, which admittedly is sometimes dull, but not too bad.

Cons

The hours can be long, par for the course with a top New York firm. Management is the typical black box.

You get to work with very experienced people, the atmosphere is fast paced, and there is a lot of energy in the team of people you work with.

Cons

There are many long nights, aside from that there are not that many cons, make sure to get work done in a timely manner
