Crystal - Challenging, Rewarding and always trying to improve
Pros
The large majority of the time people are flexible and take you into consideration rather than just being counted as a number which can happen all to often in larger businesses. I have personally had the opportunity to change roles in the business and drive my own development which is great and again have not had this chance in previous roles. The company isn't perfect but I couldn't tell you a company that is but the management team inclusive of myself are always trying to make things better. The recent addition of the table tennis table has been great and all the sales team seem to enjoy the 'Free Food Fridays' that we have. The company meeting have always got the best of intentions and the messages are always clear and to the point. The right amount of reward and recognition is included in this and the bottle of fizz that you receive is always greatly received (makes a great gift for someone else if you're feeling cheap) The atmosphere that we have on the sales floor is great and we have a group of people that compliment that, I would hope that we have the right balance between work and play. Looking after the new campaigns means I have a better view than most in terms of future proofing the company and I am feeling confident on the direction we are going in. People should feel encouraged that we are driving in new directions to ensure the brilliant future of the company.
Cons
At times we have been guilty of setting goals that are unachievable or allowing them to die by not continuously promoting them. However, it is important to learn from those mistakes and move forward and this is something that we always aspire to do. If you are someone that doesn't like accountability and wants to coast then you need to seek happiness elsewhere. I personally don't want those people in this business as they get in my way from developing my agents and helping the business secure the future it wants. The business is trying to get better at developing managers and aspiring managers but this is the biggest development area in my eyes as different things start and never seems to finish. However, this is again an area that they are trying to get better at so that shows intent which is important. The pros far out way the cons but the cons are mostly driven by the people and can be easily changed, the business needs commitment and drive and if you cant offer this then we are not from you.
