A circus of horrible leaders

Pros

Peers are passionate and good people trying to make good out of a bad situation. By peers, I mean entry level individuals, not any level of management.

Cons

I think the HR department should stand for "Horrific Ridiculousness". People who are so self absorbed in their own "performance" and career goals that they will step on anyone in the process of their jobs. How many surveys do you need that show the same result time and time again, yet there is nothing being done about the results. Management is horrible! HR is horrible! Perhaps we need to look at the "top" of the HR organization as a problem. Perhaps we need to admit that the management team overall is a problem. It has been and will continue to be until someone steps up to the plate and makes a decision to clean house and start again. The brand is so unique and can be such an amazing success if the "Chiefs" would get their egos and pride out of the way and let smart people run the company in the right way! Getting rid of the CEO is a step in the right direction but there are 8 more steps to rebuilding this company that have yet to be addressed. This is a community, not one person. Quit lying to yourselves and your employees about the culture. The culture is toxic and led by fear and people who are not willing to be a part of a team.

Pros

Love Crocs as a company and the corporate culture is really fun. The whole marketing campaign hype along with all of the collabs and new shoes was honestly really fun. Plus, there's a ton of excitement right now since Crocs is doing so well & growing. The company gives you 2 weeks off for Christmas and offers Friday half days all summer long. The benefits are also great. Overall, love Crocs from a corporate perspective.

Cons

Corporate culture is awesome but your day-to-day culture is going to be largely driven by the individual team you're on... and I wasn't on a good one. In my experience, those are the director level are extremely involved in the day-to-day operations of Jr staff, almost to a micro-manage level, so you should make sure to interview with your director to ensure you like them. This is true even if you have a manager above you - ask to interview with the director too. Crocs also touts work-life balance, but I found that the particular team I was on was constantly asking for late nights, weekends, early mornings, etc. and our director didn't seem to care about the wellbeing of people on the team. Good employees want to work for someone who shows appreciation, who takes time to get to know their staff, and who genuinely cares about their wellbeing. Overall, Crocs can be a great place to work - just make sure you enjoy the people you'll be working closest with on a daily basis. Those people can make or break the experience.

Pros

Perks, special sales, many good people

Cons

Politics decide who stays or goes, not performance. I was given very good review right before they laid off me and tons of others. People who stayed were hand-picked by 2 people who kept their favs. And lot of backstabbing, so beware! No one is your friend, everyone just trying to hold on and will step over you if needed.
