      Pros

      Pay is decent in the area.

      Cons

      Uncertain future due to the spin-off. Training/learning budget freeze. Limited technical sources. They give you a good relocation package but you will have to pay them back if you leave in two years.

      Pros

      Learning and training opportunities, at least until they decide to freeze all spending. A good place to start your career and move on. Very stable company with a lot of growth.

      Cons

      Old school management. A place where you can still find managers without a college degree. The place is managed like a "mom and pop" shop making it very difficult to implement any new ideas.

      Going through changes now and into the future

      Pros

      Great pay and most people decent to work alongside. Usually a variety of daily work and projects. Location and facilities decent.

      Cons

      company culture change in swing - some parts of company onboard with change... others are not career pathing non-existent likes to hire from outside but does not/ cannot integrate inside/outside perspectives into one Covidien perspective
