Pros

1. Good benefits 2. Some of the people are extremely knowledgable 3. High-tech oriented place 4. Anual raise and bonus

Cons

1. Horrible management 2. Lack of teamwork 3. Plenty of internal politics - you just need to be political, know how to play, which sometimes speaks aginst engineering and resambles game. 4. Some of the people (Deer Park campus) are extremely knowledgable, but those either leave for much better places, are close to be retired (Motorola), or were terminated in 2012 -13 because of cuts. It is automotive, so it comes with waves. 5. Some people are strictly not knowledgable in the area of their expertise, but politics keep them on. 6. Overal, unpleasant experience.

Pros

As a Mom who took a career break for 1.5yrs, it was always going to be difficult to get back to the main stream. Though, most employers these days talk about inclusion, very few take it up seriously and provide second innings to the women who consciously took a maternity break. My tryst with Continental was by chance, I was exploring the job market and got an interview call. Prior to this, I had not heard much about the organization though it having its own legacy and rich history. I happen to be the privileged one as I got the opportunity to start my second innings with them. It is only after I joined, it seeped in what a wonderful place it is to work. Flexible working options, which is the need of the hour gives the freedom to plan your work as well as cater to your family/personal needs, which can be a boon for anyone, irrespective of gender. The stress on having gender diversity and actually taking steps towards it, makes it a real hero. The average age of employees being less than 30 adds to the vibrancy and fun quotient of the work place. In a very short span, I have realized that they are serious on making “Continental Automotive” a preferred employer for each one. Hoping to have an exciting and promising time ahead with Continental…as the start has been great.
