Company not as advertised

Pros

flexible working hours; home office; good pay; not very demanding

Cons

very conservative mentality in processes and top management; little to no freedom to improve on procedures; very slow progression if you don't compete (in a negative sense) with your peers; projects an image of modern, "cool" workplace but functions as a company from the 50s - very safe and stable for cristalized, older and more conservative-thinking management (who run the company), and really not a place for younger, innovation-driven minds.

Pros

Great to be at the cutting edge of the industry. Lots of opportunity for international travel

Cons

Many of the good initiatives ar3 not followed through at grass roots and the heavily financial bonuses fo4 senior staff mean many crucial decisions are led by personal agenda rather than what’s actually best for the business. Bonus targets are heavily manipulated

Pros

Hard working people. They really bust their butts to get things done and make it right for the customer. Medical benefits are just OK. People are willing to roll up their sleeves and do what's needed.

Cons

Over worked and under payed. Management will squeez the life out of you. Lack of resource has always been an issue. Management doesn't want to hire people, but would easily acquire other companies. There is no succession build. US based teams are extremely under staffed however the Germany group is seated well making process improvement after process improvement. You can't execute because by the time things are getting rolled out, guess what another change and process improvement on the banks. Your paycheck comes in at the end of the month. Shocker. Your rich for that one day (30th or the 31st).
