Pros

Continental is a global company, so you get a chance to interact with a very diverse workforce. Many opportunities to travel, in US and international. Overall, the management provides a good workflow and directiion for both new and existing projects. They benefits were better in 2008, but the cuts so far in 2009 have been reasonable.

Cons

The company now is a blend of old Conti, Siemens VDO and Motorola Automotive. The integration of all the work systems has been slow, almost glacial. The email system in the old Conti was Lotus notes (very bad), and Lotus was kept over the better email (Outlook) that was used at the former Siemens and Motorola business.

one of the best automotive suppliers to wrok for in the world , flex hours, get the job done attitude. can come in anytime you like until the work is done

pay not that great and cut in salaries to reflect global auto recession

High tech company, Lots of talented people, Competitive pay and vacation time, Good work life balance

Cons

All important decisions made in Germany. Lots of talented engineers left the company or let go were critical in future projects. Don't know how the company can replace the right people they lost when they win new projects. More managers than workers in the company. Employees preparing resume during work time. Direction not clear after many mergers and acquisitions
