Training is a lie

Pros

The only pros would be that you get to work from home and they provide equipment. The training is 2 weeks and they have 3 skills demos that you have to pass to go into nesting. You would think it’s gonna be the same way once you get on calls but it’s a lie

Cons

When we finally went on the calls we thought we were ready. While I was there, everything we learned from training was barely on those calls. They tell you to follow the customer call guide and to make sure you say every part or it’ll go bad on your metrics. Most of the calls we all did was nothing like training. Most times people would call wanting a quick answer and if we tried to make the call last longer to get more talk time. People would usually hang up and we would get coached because we didn’t force the customer to stay on the phone. Once busy season hit and all the new products came out, it was horrible. I was part time and they told us to be okay with our schedules and we can’t get anymore hours until we go up to full time. So one month they messaged all the part timers saying that they were going to change our schedules and saying that we could be scheduled up to 29 hours if they need more people working. And they were telling us we had no choice because we have to adhere to the schedules that they’ve changed. They changed my schedule the day of and told me nothing. I stayed up all night to make sure there wasn’t a change in my schedule for the next day. Then the next morning my supervisor messaged me and said why wasn’t I at work. I was like I didn’t know I was supposed to be working today and they just changed it that same morning. They did that to me twice and expected me to just stop what I’m doing in my life and clock in when I wasn’t even working that day. If you’re fine with micromanaging then go right ahead and apply. If you have no life and can work whenever they say, then this is perfect for you.

Pros

Working from home is the ONLY pro.

Cons

They train you for 2 weeks and then completely throw you to the wolves. They claim you have a “ramp up períod” where you won’t be as heavily scrutinized for the first 30-60 days, but that is a lie. Constant and incessant micromanagement. They even add homework for you to do, but there’s not enough time during the day to do it, so you end up having to do it without being paid for it.
