Pros

Used to be a caring company that was great to work for and had good benefits.

Cons

New senior management group that no longer cares about those below them but rather care about making a name for themselves in order to be ready for the next advancement. Don't honor paid time off days or even holidays. For example, they set up conference calls on Christmas Eve. They expect people to work 24/7 and rarely, if ever, even say thank you for this extra time. New agenda doesn't even make much sense in regards to the original company objective which is to feed kids good, nutritious meals that they are going to enjoy. They have created an environment of mistrust among middle and lower management - everyone is willing throw others under the bus in order to save themselves.

Pros

The company are very sufficient and well known for excellent performance and standards. Working along the Compass Group CEO was an amazing opportunity and I learned a vast amount od knowledge about the role. I was there working a temp covering annual leave before my 2 weeks contract had expired, the CEO offered me a 12 month contract which was absolutely amazing I never get opportunities like this that often and I am astounded at how I was taken on without having to go through a gruelling 3 months probational period contract with Compass Group.

Cons

With a constant absence of the manager and being new to the office and working environment I was thrown into the deep end not knowing where every item was kept, which staff member I was to report to, or even got to know my line manager. She was caught on numerous occasions skiving and taking off without warning. The good point about this that the CEO dealt with her laziness and gave numerous warnings about the problem.
