Pros

New name same B/E company

Cons

This company is B/E Aerospace, do not be fooled by the name changed. The leadership in the Super First Class in Winston Salem is toxic and incompetent. Business was moved from AZ to NC because of this however, the corporate office decided to keep the same leadership from AZ ie, (VP, Directors, ect.) resulting in the same chaotic and toxic environment. Everything is done outside the system, we have a WMS for show only. Planning is non-existent. We have work orders driving demand from 2017 that nobody knows if they are valid. This place is a complete disaster. Almost 45% of the employees are job hunting to get out of this nightmare. We have managers that do not know their job. To put it in simple terms, RUN!! do not be fooled by UTC acquiring Rockwell Collins who acquired B/E aerospace. We are still B/E Aerospace at the senior leadership levels in our factories and that is why this is so chaotic. Until they changed leadership, this company will not be able to meet on dock dates for any of our customers.

Pros

None that I could think of

Cons

After working there for 6.5 years, I realized how toxic everything about Collins was. They are running a scam in India where they hire young professionals for such cheap salaries and make them work like robots. The management in PMO is specially screwed up. We are always asked to worship US employees and beg them for work. They laid off so many loyal employees brutally while the upper management keep promoting themselves every year while they travel the world. My exit which took 3 months was very torturous. They did not return back my settlement amount and deducted unfair amount of money by running a scam.

Pros

Mostly good coworkers in engineering department. Mostly good direct managers in engineering. Pretty good benefits. Decent pay. Job stability. Location is decent.

Cons

This company used to be a great place to work. Since the acquisition by UTC, and especially since the merger with Raytheon, this company is getting hard to work for. The mothership company regularly pushes changes that make it harder to get the "real" work done, or cause long-timers to quit: Removing incentive pay (bonuses) for all but the most senior folks, "Return To Office", xClass (export classification), reducing Teams chat retention to 60 days for legal CYA, recent password management nightmares, monitoring software on company PCs, to name a few. Additionally, the route to Senior Principal Engineer at this site feels blocked off in a way it wasn't for previous generations.
